“There is no Human Rights without justice”

A joint statement by 49 international and local organizations coinciding with International Human Rights Day, December 10

Al Amal Women’s and Sociocultural Foundation, one of the members of the Justice 4 Yemen Pact Coalition, and 48 international and local organizations launched a joint statement in conjunction with International Human Rights Day and its first global declaration criminalizing all violations against civilians and the necessity of preserving their dignity and respecting their rights.

The statement stressed that the widespread violations of human rights in Yemen may amount to war crimes and that the violators are still far from the hands of justice, safe from punishment, and the parties are even seeking to disrupt all accountability mechanisms for the perpetrators of these crimes and violations.

The statement renewed the firm commitment of human rights organizations to the principles of human rights, defending them and confronting all violations that may affect them, especially in the difficult and complex context that Yemen is currently experiencing.

He called on human rights organizations, international institutions, and all human rights workers to pay attention and intensify joint work to promote and protect human rights in Yemen and all countries of the world.
